After sharing neat details about Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, Capcom gave fans a new trailer featuring the beloved return of the high-level Monster Hunter Generations UlktimateSky Comet Dragon, Valstrax. This time, Valstrax sports a fresh appearance that grants him new unique attacks that may throw some hardcore Monster Hunter fans off-guard.

The trailer also debuts a new Apex variant of Zinogre with the promise that this monster and the previous Apex variants of Rathalos and Diablos will be huntable outside of the Rampage mode. Although the trailer didn't showcase other monsters in the trailer, Capcom teased that more monsters are on the way via an "etc." placed under Apex Zinogres name.

Monster Hunter Rise's third update will also include the true ending to its storyline and teased that fans may fight the combined might of Ibushi and Narwa during the said scenario. The update also includes new weapon trees and skills, regular and layered armor, cosmetic DLC, sticker sets, poses, hairstyles, and bug fixes which you can find out by clicking here.

That's not all, as the Monster Hunter team showcased their collaboration plans for Monster Hunter Rise's future, starting with a collaboration between Monster Hunter Rise and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. The update will be available sometime in June and give fans access to a Monster Hunter Stories 2 related Palico armor set. More collaborations and event quests will be out after said update soon.

As for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, its new trailer revealed that Astalos will be coming to the game and plays a massive role alongside Mizutsune, Gammoth, and Glavenus. The trailer also highlights Avinia and Frostfang (Barioth), who have aged since their debut in the first Monster Hunter Stories game.

Then, Capcom spent time analyzing the Rite of Channeling mechanism, a returning mechanic from the first game that allows gamers to move around one monster's genes to another, despite the said-beast being originally incompatible with said gene. Now, players can move one creature's genes to any slot on the other without having to follow the standard 3X3 gene formula used in the first game.

Besides that information, Capcom reiterated many points about the title already relayed from the previous digital event in April. The points Capcom elaborated on again concerned the title's release date and collaboration with Monster Hunter Rise regarding a synched costume download for those with a save file for either game.

Although Monster Hunter Rise is available to play now, fans must wait until July 9th to play Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. Fear not, as you can pre-order the title via the Nintendo eShop or on Steam for those who want to play on their fabulous PC hardware.
